provides an informal range of activites, outings, guest
speakers, arts and craft and computer games. Relax
and chill after school!

outreach
A small team of Leaders goes out every Saturday night
and seeks to engage with young people congregating in
areas around Lisburn. Many of the young people have
issues with alcohol or drugs and during COVID may not be
complying with the appropriate regulations. Our leaders
are encouraging them to behave safely and responsibly
and give them the opportunity to join in with some of the
more structured activities organised by Damask.

While this programme has stopped due to
COVID it is hoped to restart activities again as
soon as possible
From the start of Damask Community Outreach we have placed a high priority on engaging with teenagers in the local area who are in need of support to make the most of their opportunities in enducation and training and to develop the confidence to make a success of their lives, their relationships and their futures. Over the last two years the Damask Youth Programme has been led by staff of the Christian organisation ‘Youth Initiatives’. They have developed the Damask & Youth Initiatives Hub based in the Seymour Street premises and from this Hub run a range of recreational and leadership training youth activities. Youth Initiatives leaders also regularly engage with groups of young people on the street of Lisburn.
